Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT TYPE OF TIMBER IS USED IN MANUFACTURING?

The walls are constructed with pressure treated timber, with a 2"x 1 1/2" planed frame. The walls are lined with A1 Protect felt. The floor is constructed with white deal tonge and groove.

WHAT IS PRESSURE TREATED TIMBER?

It is a process that involves the timber being impregnated with chemicals that leaves the timber preserved and requiring minimum mantanance. We do however treat our sheds with a coat of Bondex and recommend that the customer treats their shed every 18 months to 2 years.

WHAT IS THE ROOF MADE OF?

The roof is constructed with 2" x 1 1/2" ( 3" x 1 1/2" ) frame, with waterproof O.S.B. board topped with 4mm torched on felt.

Note: Our sheds do not require trusses up to the span of 10ft.

WHAT SITE PREPERATION IS NEEDED BEFORE DELIVERY?

You need a clear and level site. Sheds can be placed on gravel, grass with concrete blocks, on patio slabs or a ready made concrete base. If you are using concrete blocks we will tell you how many you will need depending on the size of the unit.
